Feeding Hope Day at the Fair: Every September!
Enjoy the annual Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair, and fight hunger, too!
This annual event is always a great day at the Fair, with everyone enjoying an entrance fee of either a can of food or $1. We are grateful to event sponsors 40/29 News and the Arkansas CW, and the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair!
Your gift of food, or cash, results in a giant boost to the food bank’s service to our 140 member agencies.
We are also grateful to the volunteers from Walmart stores, food pantries and friends of the food bank who help each year.
At Feeding Hope Day at the Fair, people seem to always want to give healthier foods and tasty meal components.
What can be donated?
We accept any boxed or canned food item. We appreciate low-sodium foods, canned fruits and vegetables, soups and stews, peanut butter, spaghetti sauce and other tomato-based products, tuna, mayonnaise, Hamburger Helper, canned chili or chicken, to name a few. We ask you to assure canned goods are within their best buy date. For the safety of those we help, we cannot accept perishable foods, fresh produce, homemade or home canning items, mislabeled or unlabeled packages.
