Cause Marketing Opportunities

Make a difference for the Food Bank while doing your shopping! Many companies offer opportunities for charitable giving.

AmazonSmile
Shop online with Amazon and support the River Valley Regional Food Bank at the same time.  Simply go to www.smile.amazon.com on your web browser and start your shopping from there.  On your first and returning visits, select River Valley Regional Food Bank to receive donations from eligible purchases and the food bank will receive 0.5% of every purchase price.

Child Hunger Ends Here
Look for codes on ConAgra and P&G products and visit www.childhungerendshere.com to enter the codes and help generate meals/money for the River Valley Regional Food Bank.

Walmart
Periodically, Walmart strongly engages their customers with their Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign!  During the program, the purchase of many of your favorite brands will “spark” a cash donation to the River Valley Regional Food Bank that is equivalent to a meal.  An option to make a cash donation is also presented at the register.  The Soring 2016 campaign raised $16.6 million for food banks across the country.

Outnumber Hunger
Look for codes on General Mills products and visit www.outnumberhunger.com to enter the codes and help generate meals/money for the River Valley Regional Food Bank.   The program generally runs March thru May and this past Spring, over $700,000 was raised for food banks.

Bank Of America
From September 1 until December 31, 2016, Bank of America’s Give A Meal program will match donor contributions to the River Valley Regional Food Bank on a 2:1 basis!  The maximum individual donation is $1,000 and no food bank can receive more than $75,000 under this gifting opportunity.

Cheesecake Factory
There isn’t a Cheesecake Factory in our service area, but should you be traveling, you can help another food bank by ordering a slice of pumpkin or pumpkin pecan cheesecake between from September to December! Each slice creates a twenty-five cent donation.  Since 2008, these quarters have added up to more than $4million!

Pampered Chef Round Up From the Heart
Each year, Pampered Chef introduces a limited-edition product to help raise funds for Feeding America. Starting September 1, 2016, Pampered Chef is offering Share and Nourish Bowls. For each bowl purchased, the company will donate $2, the equivalent of 20 meals, to Feeding America. Pampered Chef also encourages Cooking Show guests to “round up” their orders to the nearest dollar or more. These contributions benefit the Feeding America network food bank that serves the local community where the donation is made.  A new fight summer hunger promotion surrounds the sale of mason jars with $1 donation going to Feeding America for each jar sold.

This year-long campaign kicks off on September 1, 2016 and runs through August 31, 2017.

Coinstar
Under the ongoing “Coins that Count” program, participants can donate to their favorite non-profit at a Coinstar machine.  Just choose the “donate” option from the onscreen menu!

United Airlines
During Hunger Action Month (September), for every “United Choice Eat for Good” snack box purchased, $1 will be donated to Feeding America.
